What People Are Saying About Us
Don't just take it from us, let our participants do the talking!

"First of all, THANK YOU for the honor of inviting any and all of us!! I was so "inspired" by the article I had read in the TriCity Voice that I planned to be there! This was my wonderful opportunity for the chance to interact with the younger generation that I had wished for - for a very long time. I had always wanted to help the older generation by becoming a Sr. Peer Counselor, and then I always wished to be amongst children at the same time, but couldn't think of a way to make the time for both. Now you presented me the solution :) Thank you!! Rewired to Inspire is the answer to my dream! Creating positive interaction between the ages can only result in more respect, understanding and support between all. We can each teach the other from our life's experiences. Yes! Yes! :)) Our first session was great! I did not know what to expect, so I went there unprepared, hoping to be more prepared at the next session. But all of the interactive activities took me by surprise! I loved it!! Changing partners was super!! And meeting not only the youngsters, but total strangers around my age group and talking and laughing with everyone was beyond my expectations! Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!! And I'll be seeing you in August :))" Elaine says

"We have to thank you for being a constant inspirer. Human values is dying all around and people like you give life to this core value that everybody should poses. Senior/ elders are getting ignored and neglected, only these meetups bring back the dying spirit in us. Appreciate your spirit in inculcating these moral values in the upcoming generation." Peter says "What are your thoughts about Rewired to Inspire? Ans: Excellent way to keep close communication between those who are presently "in charge" and those who will soon "take charge". What benefits does it bring to our community? Ans: The main benefit is in depth understanding by the "Rewired to Inspire" participants of the needs of the community. What are your impressions of the activities of our first session? Ans: Excellent choice of activities. Repeat them in future sessions." |

"First of all I want to comment on the title of this group, Rewired to Inspire. It is really inspiring to me. It detracts from the word, retirement because the phase after retirement allows for more creativity and challenges. I was impressed by the leadership and enthusiasm of the students involved in the organization and presentation. One of the things they could do is to go out to other groups attempting a Start up and help facilitate that. As for my participation in this group, I especially enjoy relating events, language terms, and showing differences from my life in two adjoining centuries. Right now, today, I want to alert them to the significance of Memorial Day for everyone in the world. If you live in this country, you are an American and you are living in the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. “ Listen to the presidential campaigns and protests and demonstrations. Where else could you act this way and get away with it. We need to protect our people and country. Thank you for inviting me to participate." |

"It was very exciting to see the way you have initiated this Inspirational exercise . Sustained effort of your team over one year will bring some amazing results. So please continue, irrespective of the response. Things will snowball slowly. Rewired to inspire facilitates face-to-face meetings and is absolutely necessary in these times of ‘wired’ devises and communications!! Benefits to the community are time tested and are so many. However, bonding with the community is at the top of those benefits. Once the bond is established, anything can be achieved. The first session was extremely successful in that direction. Youngsters and Elders were finally equal in the points , showed how smart the younger generation is. May be you can : 1. Have multilingual poetry recitals by both, elders and youngsters. 2. Open discussions on current topics of Sports, Economy, Elections , fashion, education etc and share opinions, experiences ? 3. Music can be a big bridge , be it singing or instrumental , or chorus . Recognition for youngsters is a big thing, and hence builds confidence when they present an item in front of a live audience. I am sure many other ideas like these can be structured and circulated to the same community for them to look forward to your sessions." |
